I know, I know…

So I did say a new 101 in 1001 list was coming back… in February, damn. Oh well.

I’ve made the decision to pull the plug on this blog anyway. The 101 in 1001 concept won’t leave my site – far from it. The content I’ve already posted here will be moved on over to my main blog, for posterity’s sake. New posts on this subject will be posted there as well. Once the move is complete, the main URL to this blog (http://blog.mattfast1.com/1001) will redirect to the category/tag I’m posting all these items in over there.

Oh, and all those posts I went though the main blog and hid? Those will be pulled out into a separate system, disconnected from the internet at large, and will most likely be added to as my personal journal, where there is much less of a chance for tampering or unauthorized viewing. Consider these acts numbers 1 and 2 on my new 101 list.

I didn't even notice…

Well, as I explained on my other blog, I’ve been neglecting my blogging. I’ve ignored my blogging so much, in fact, that I didn’t even notice my 101 in 1001 list expired on February 11th – Heck, I thought it might have been the 19th, that’s how long it’s been since I’ve even looked at this site. Continue reading ‘I didn't even notice…’

Woah, an update?

Yes, I am updating this site tonight. Watch for more posts.

Welcome.

Welcome to my 101 things in 1001 days blog. This blog will help to track my progress through my 101 tasks through February 11, 2009. However, it will grow to be much more; I will eventually turn this into a large, popular resource for all information on this project, including ideas, starting points, sample lists, and more. Stay tuned, as I use this to fulfill several items on my list.

I may be adding more help at some point in the future; all help and new lists will be marked.

That’s odd. I just noticed, Twitter Tools is putting the wrong date on my tweets. Today already has a post created, and today’s posts will show as tomorrow. That is, unless I change something. So, I just tweaked the settings so Twitter Tools will fire off the digest of my tweets at 11:59 PM, rather than 12:00 AM. Hopefully, that will address the problem. If not, I’ll have to find a different solution.

In other news, I’ve also added a script to my hosting account that will automatically loop through the database and close comments (but leave pingbacks open) on all Twitter Tools postings. All I get on those is comment spam anyway, easily weeded out by Spam Karma & Akismet.

A wireless headset has many advantages over a wired one. One of which is the ability to hit the head late at night with other people in the house trying to sleep, but still rock out.

My pages have apparently all reverted to posts with the latest database upgrade… please stand by while this problem is fixed.
