(Notice: this is a follow up to my quiz. If you havent’ taken it yet, please to not read this before you do - it could skew your quiz results. Badly. The link is posted here)
Right. So this quiz, apparently I made it harder than I thought I did. I mean, yes, I knew there was a major trap that most of you fell into….
Anyway, we’ll do a question-by-question recap, from the four results I have so far. If and when more people take it, I’ll probably adjust this post rather than reposting.
Question the first dealt with the company I am employed by, which was designed to be the easiest question, but still there was one miss. It was kind of a trap, since most people seem to think that if a Starbucks exists within another business (like, say, a Target), the people working there still work for Starbucks. I am happy to say that’s not the case.
The second question was about my major. No one’s missed that one. If anyone had, I would have had to smack them upside the head with a NIC.
The third question is different. It was completion of a quote from Family Guy. That one was too easy, but I was watching that particular episode whilest writing the quiz, so it somewhat makes sense now, no?
The Fourth was supposed to be a trick. It mentions Family Guy, then asks you to tell me what my favorite show is. I’m happy to say ONE of you managed to get that one (Hooray Sara!). Everyone else fell headfirst into that little psychological trap
Now we get to plead the Fifth. I randomly say it was raining, so a Singing in the Rain quote seemed to fit. This is the question I have had the most varied answers on (three different answers). However, again, only Sara got the trick behind that one and was able to correctly identify the unusual-ness behind me Singing in the Rain.
Next I decided to stop the traps and silly questions, except I didn’t really. Half of you missed here, either because you wanted more silly questions or because you will sick of seeing them
Yes, this web site was hacked at one point. Not the entire thing; just a little script I had installed on the (then-unused) www.mattfast1.com portion of the site. The only thing it was able to do was obliterate the old index page with the ads and the menu with two entries (blog and forum). That was a gift - it gave me more encouragement to actually start developing the new site there again. Of course, one of you didn’t really believe my website could be hacked, and the other who missed thought it was because of the school network - do you really think I’d send my info across an unsecured line, Liz?
I feel no need to cover my sleep habits, as they are well-documented and everyone got that one correct.
My discount at Sprint was a tough subject - nearly everyone thought I got a 15% discount. Surprisingly, Beth was the only one delivering the correct answer of 17%.
The hardest question? Well, in the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, the question of the meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything is a question that will take 10 million years using the most sophisticated computer system ever designed. Deep Thought knew that the answer would be 42, but it could not give the question. Therefore, neither could I.
That’s all I have to say about that.
