New build of Matt found to contain virus

A few weeks ago, we did a test build of the new version of Matt in preparation for the scheduled release of version 1.9, which is scheduled for the March 11 release. However, somewhere along the line, one of our developers built a virus into the code, and it has infected the kernal. We believe the easiest way to remove this virus is with patch numbers #021706 and #022206, and the entire thing should be flushed from the core within the next few days.

WTF?!?!?!?

So I show up for my Network Security Fundamentals class tonight, and only one other student is there. Two minutes before the class is set to begin, and there was still only the two of us. So I look at my syllabus, and lo and behold, there is no class tonight.

So now I’m upstairs in the “Writing Center”, cruising the net and watching American Idol on the 50″ TV. That’s right, the writing center has a 50 incher, just so people will have something to watch while they’re being lazy.

That, and I’m finishing downloading the 8 CDs of Debian Linux. Yeah, I’m a geek. So what?
