Board of Smartness crash

Well, isn’t this fun.

Today, I tried updating the production version of the Board of Smartness from IPB version 1.3.1 to version 2.0.0 PF1. I thought that it would be a smooth transition, because I already updated the copy that sits on my computer here, and it was exceedingly smooth. Well, somewhere in the database conversion, the updater stumbled, and now, none of the categories are recognized, leading to the forums being unrecognized, and consequently, the board’s posts are currently inaccessable.

It’s just frustrating when you try to bring something better to your subscribers who have been waiting (im)patiently for so long for the Board of Smartness to come back online, just to find that the board is offline again because of a glitch while upgrading. Fortunately, I had the foresight to back up the database before the conversion, so it will be possible for me to restore the old version; I just have to collect the old files so that they may be uploaded again.
